A London-based council authority in Greater London, England, needed to migrate customer and supplier records to Oracle ERP Cloud seamlessly and effectively. It was essential that they only migrate quality data into their Cloud environment.

Prerequisites

Before migrating to the Cloud, the council cleansed their existing data. They removed errors and made sure that the information across the database was standardized and consistent. Therefore, only moving active customers and suppliers to the Cloud.

Deactivation Project

The council used the More4apps custom query functionality to determine which customers and suppliers did not have open invoices and had not been active in three years or more.

After that, they defined parameters to identify additional customer and supplier records that should be disabled. They discovered that approximately 15,000 customers and 17,000 supplier records needed deactivated using the More4apps tools within the EBS Toolbox.

Completing the deactivation project using the More4apps suite of products, reduced the time it would have taken the council to do the same task manually by 98%, which is the equivalent of 4-5 months.

The finance team can now be confident that their customer and supplier data in the new Cloud infrastructure is accurate and up-to-date.

Cleansing Project

The More4apps tools addressed errors and standardized details concerning the customers and suppliers before migrating master data to the Cloud.
